Thompson Unlimited gives priority to providing and strengthening communication and information in order to support Thompson’s development.  Our economic development approach involves governments, the private and non-profit sectors, and regional communities to work together to improve the economy we share. It focuses on enhancing competitiveness and sustainable growth.  Economic development will draw upon municipal government and private sector functions including community planning, business investment, infrastructure, real estate development and labour recruitment.

Further, we work toward:

• Supporting the development or expansion of small and medium sized businesses;
• Attracting external investment nationally and internationally;
• Facilitating and leveraging investments in infrastructure;
• Supporting the growth of particular clusters of businesses;
